AC Milan fans

The term ultras was first ignited in Italy before being followed by many other countries so it is only right that the last and final club we focus on is AC Milan and their ‘Curva Sud Milano’ section which is the main supporter’s group for the club and are one of the oldest ultra groups in football and in Italy where the culture of ultras originated, and were always going to be included in a blog for football fans and ultras as they are a legendary club known worldwide by fans. AC Milan play at the San Siro stadium which is also uniquely the joint home of their city rivals ‘Inter Milan’ in the Iconic 75,817 capacity stadium admired by fans throughout Europe. Borussia Dortmund Fans

  Borussia Dortmund are a football club based in Germany and are one of the most popular teams in the country if not the world. The team play at the Signal Iduna Park which is the largest stadium in Germany with a capacity of 81,359 and are known throughout Europe and the world for their incredible atmosphere and Colour on match days which is produced by their ‘Yellow wall’. A large majority of fans in Germany and the world seem to like Dortmund and the fantastic support they provide to the players, with a study claiming, ‘Of the 45 million people interested in football n Germany, 52% of them have a soft spot for Dortmund.’ An incredible feat for the 2 nd biggest team in the country by many accounts behind Bayern Munich. Galatasaray (S.K.) fans

  Galatasaray Spor Kulubu (S.K.) are a football club based in Turkey, and have the biggest fan base of any club in Turkey whilst also being the most successful club and remaining the only Turkish team to have won a major European competition. Their supporter group is often recognised as having the largest amount of active members of any ultra group, Known as ultrAslan which was founded in 2001 by fan and leader Alparslan Dikmen due to the success the team was having on the pitch at that current time. The ultrAslan group are responsible for producing creative displays around the stadium particularly with their use of pyrotechnics of which they brought 3,000 to a match against Fenerbahçe in 2001, the group don’t operate with a political stance contrary to most fan groups around the world and in Europe especially, they are more so about creating a loud atmosphere to support the team on the pitch and showing their support with tifo displays to encourage the players and intimidate the
